HeartScreen America Launches Life-Saving Heart Screening Programs in New Hampshire
MANCHESTER, NH – 4 Nov 2006: HeartScreen America launched its New Hampshire heart screening initiative at the 93rd Annual New Hampshire PTA Annual Conference held in Manchester, NH from November 3-4, 2006.
The statewide program was kicked off with a 30-minute presentation by President Bert Vining to an audience of PTA members from across New Hampshire. Mr. Vining also met New Hampshire statewide PTA members at a booth exhibit where he discussed HeartScreen America’s mission, programs, and call to action. PTA members were also able to ask questions and to schedule screenings in their communities.
The focus of HeartScreen America’s presentation and booth exhibition was to educate and increase PTA members’ awareness of sudden cardiac arrest, especially in young students and athletes. Mr. Vining explained that becoming aware of risk factors, implementing preventive screening, and creating emergency action plans can help detect heart abnormalities and minimize the risk of tragic death.
HeartScreen America offers heart screening services to help identify underlying heart defects to minimize sudden cardiac arrest and save lives. HeartScreen America uses digital interpretive electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) screening in a mobile format to visit schools, community centers, corporations, and other large populations.
